The past two weeks while our class has been doing swimming lessons, we have been doing spanish. In this post I will be showing you some basic colours, numbers, conversations and the difference between femine and masculine.

NUMBERS:
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10
uno, dos, tres, cuatro, cinco, seis, siete, ocho, nueve, diez

COLOURS:
red, orange, yellow, green, blue, pink, brown
rojo, naranja, amarillo, verde, azul, rosa, marron

CONVERSATIONS:

first person:hola(hello) second person:hola(hello)
first person:como estas(how are you today?) second person:"Muy bien, gracias. ¿Y tú?"(Quite well, thank you.)

DIFFERENCE BETWEEN FEMINE AND MASCULINE: In spanish if the word has a "o" at the end then you need to check wiether or not it will stay an "o" or change to a "a" you check by looking back to the start of word/sentence, el for male and la for female.

African inquiry

This term for inquiry we have been learning about different cultures and what type of art they do, each week we went to a different teacher to learn about a different country/culture, there are three different counties/cultures the Inuit, japan, and Africa. This week I learned about Africa and we made a website on adobe spark.

Kia ora, This week for inquiry we have been doing work on different countries and learning about there culture and the ways they live after we learn about all the different countries we get to choose one country to make some art about. 

Short Film Script

This is my short film script, in my literacy group we have to go into groups and make a short film with a specific genre ours is sci-fi. Our next step is to make the actual short film now.  

Inquiry

Our inquiry this term has been on media got put in the T.V media group, and we made our own news show. My group was Brooke, Damien, Skylah, and I. We did an interview on Taylor Swift, but with Damien as Taylor Swift and Skylah interviewing him, they (Damien and Skylah) also sang a song acted as Taylor Swift and Ariana Grande.

Sci-fi video essay

For literacy, we have been doing work on genres and on what conventions those genres have. Then we had to make a small video essay that was at least 3 minutes long. I made a sci-fi video essay that listed some key conventions.

Introduction to short divison

This is a project my maths group had to do. Introduction to short division.

for Maori this term we had to learn the god of the weather, sea, earthquakes, forests and uncultivated foods. We had to learn the Maori names for these too. My coloring is the god of earthquakes.

Volume and Capacity

Hi everyone this is my capacity and volume maths slide. This term we have been learning and working on volume and capacity, we had to measure out and create the size of a box to fit 2 cups of water, without it breaking or falling apart.

My Inquiry experience

Over term 2 in our class, we have been learning the importance of keeping our oceans and planet clean by recycling the right rubbish and picking up any rubbish we see. To do this we got some rubbish together and made an outfit in a group of 2-4 people this was made out of the rubbish we had collected over time or had brought.

Math Cubes

In maths this week we have been learning how to stack 3D blocks and how to make different 3D shapes out of 3D blocks. Then we got to make any thing we wanted to out of the 3D blocks here is mine.

Tessalation

This week in maths we have been learning how to do tessalations. Tessalations are a pattern made with 1 or more shapes put together to fill a whole space without any gaps between the shapes.

reflecting on my goals

Reading

My goal this term was I will read novels and be able to analyse the characters, settings, plot and themes in great detail.

I think I have not achived my goal yet I am still moving up the ladder and have not been able to read many novels this term so it is something to still work on.

I think to move to the top of the ladder I need to read more novels and think about those things during reading the book, or get my parents to ask me some questions about the book.

Writing

My writing goal is I will organise my writing into basic paragraphs.

I think I have achived this goal because I have been putting paraghraphs in my writing very often.

Maths

My maths goal is I will learn to solve equations using more than one operations by using BEDMAS

I think I haven't yet achived my goal because in maths we have been doing geometry not BEDMAS or number work stuff but I next term. I will try achive my goal and also try and do things at home to try and achive it.

Resilience

My resilience goal is I will create the best learning environment.

I have achived this goal beacause when I know I need to get work done I will create the best learning enviroment to get it done.

Other

My other goal was I will ask questions of myself and respectively challenges the ideas of others.

I have achived this goal becuase when other bring ideas up I will ask questions to my self and respectivily ask how we could make that idea better.
