Pastel koru art!

For the past week, our class has been making koru art on a Friday, first, we picked a design we wanted to create, then we drew our design onto a bit of paper, after we used black sharpies to do the outline of our design, next we used pastels to color our art in, lastly we dyed the white bit of our art, I used black dye. Have you ever made koru art? This is my art.

Literacy workshop!

This week for literacy I did a workshop on Dorothy's silver slippers, I did the workshop for my

Wizard Of Oz essay that I am putting on my website I showed you in my last literacy post. These

The meaning behind the- Magic, power is attached to Dorothy’s feet its a representation of Dorothy tapping into her true power, shines through her being the main protagonist,  shows Dorothy’s true potential, guides her, also a tool in aiding Dorothy's journey, she has to take out the witch single handley, they are making her realize how brave and courageous she can be,  placebo makes you believe you have something that you do not have, the witch tries to grab then your hands get zapped, by the time she goes to use the slippers she no longer needs to cause she already found the power in herself, untapped potential, she taps into the power at the end and that's all she needed to do. clicks the heels finally clicking into untapped potential how they guide her to find the power in herself NEED A QUOTE

Magnificent Maths!

This Monday for maths we had to create a 3D block shape using 20 blocks, first, we did a draft drawing of the 3D block shape we chose, next we made our good copy and colored it in the color of the blocks that were in the actual shape, for me this was quite an enjoyable task! Have you ever drawn a 3D shape using blocks for guidance? These are my drawings (first one: ruff copy, second one: Good copy)

Week Of Work!

How has your week at school been? Do you like being at school better than doing your online learning? I'm still not sure whether I like online learning or normal learning better. I was very excited to get back to school and see my friends, although things haven't been completely normal I find things are slowly getting back to normal. 

This week for literacy we learned how to make our own websites, we are making websites to present our Wizard Of Oz essays on, we have to use at least 8 TEXAS's, TEXAS means Title sentence, explain, example, analysis, and summary. We have to have our websites done in 3 weeks. This is a quick view of mine.

This week for numeracy we have been drawing shapes out of different 3D blocks, first, we got some 3D blocks and made shapes out of them, we made drawing out of 5 blocks then we went to 10 then we made one with 15 blocks, we had to draw these onto a piece of isometric paper. These are some of mine.

Animal living - Friyay task!

Kia Ora bloggers, today I chose to do the "living on an animals back", Friyay challenge, this challenge included

• What animal's back would I live on? A Turtle as their backs are steddy and hard and they don't move to fast. (of course this would have to be if I shrunck alot!)
• Is it possiable to live on an animals back? No I don't think it is, as almost if not all animals are far to small for any person to live on them.
• Who would I live with? I would live with one or two of my friends as I think it could get quite lonley and boring on an animals back.
• What would I need in order to liver there? I think I would need all of the ordernairy things you need to live along with having to nail down most things so they don't fall and break.

I made this as the design of the house quite a open plan so it wouldn't take up to much room after all turtles backs arn't very big. If you did this fun task what animals back would you choose to live on?

Dream Bedroom! Tec challenge

Kia Ora bloggers, today for my tec at home task I decided to do a bedroom design, for this task we had to create our dream bedroom, I made this bedroom on Room Styler, I went for a more modern look to it and it didn't turn out to bad. Have you ever made a dream bedroom? If so what did it look like?

Maths - Nets!

Kia Ora bloggers, today's maths task was to make our own net, I made a square-based pyramid and a small cube, this was quite a fun task as it involved making things! Wizrad Of Oz - Differences and Similarities! (book vs movie)

Kia Ora bloggers, Today's task for literacy was, first of all, write down what were 3 similarities between the Wizard Of Oz book and movie, the second task was to write down 3 differences between the book and movie, in my opinion, the book is better than the movie, but they are both very interesting to watch/read. Like my other literacy blog posts, this slide is shared with the rest of my literacy group so feel free to check theirs out too! My slide is number 21. Friday cake design!

Kia Ora bloggers, today's Friday task was to choose a task from the 3 options, I chose to design a cake, for this task you must,

• A theme (like rainbow unicorns or lego or space)
  

  At least 5 layers.
  

  The only stuff that can be be made of cake or icing.
  

  Your diagram must show us The flavor of each layer
  

  The decorations for each layer.
  

  Colors for each layer.
  

  Any surprise features (e.g. a volcano inside)

 the cake I designed has 3 tiers, 3 flavors (white vanilla bean, strawberry & cream, and lemon), the decorations for my cake are gold icing/fondant gold/star sprinkles and icing, my colors inside the cake are a marbled blue, my surprise feature is when you cut the cake open blue/star sprinkles come pouring out. this is the cake I ended up designing.

Dreadful Disappointment (Wizard of Oz theme)

Kia Ora bloggers, one of my literacy tasks this week was to complete the 3 questions on the second slide, these questions were multi-choice and about the theme disappointment if you want you can go check out my other blog posts to see the other themes we have done for the wizard of Oz. All of these questions were obviously about the wizard of Oz because my literacy group is currently reading the book, My slide is number 18, but this is a shared slide with the rest of my literacy group so feel free to check theirs out too!
