Weekly work update!

Kia Ora bloggers,
Hopefully, you have had a great week this week, as now we only have 1 day until 2 term school holidays! This week in literacy we have been looking at the genre of sci-fi, and all of its conventions it has within it, as part of our sci-fi genre studies we had to look at what a dystopian world and a utopian world looks like a utopia is a perfect world with nice sandy beaches, modern houses, and healthy plants, one of the keywords in a utopian world is CONTROL because where there is not control can make a difference to whether or not it is a utopian or dystopian world. A dystopian world is the complete opposite, it has run-down buildings, dead plants, and abandoned houses. Our task was to create our own personal utopia, here is mine,

  • Malls with free things for my friends and I

  • Polished cities

  • Live in a big modern mansion with a pool

  • A netball court

  • Nice unpolluted beaches with clear water

  • Be skinny my whole life

  • Unlimited credit card

  • Expensive cars

  • A big walk-in wardrobe with lots of clothes, shoes, and makeup

  • Good lighting for tik toks

  • Palm trees

  • In summer, spring and autumn its always a nice hot temperature and in winter it either snows or is hot

  • Good places for photos

  • I will have an iPhone 11 and MacBook pro

What do you think of my utopian world? What are some main things you would have in your personalized utopian world?

For maths this week we have started to look at number and algebra, we have mainly been doing number patterns and writing the rules to the patterns, I have found it quite easy to write the patterns most times but just get a bit stuck on the wording for my rule.
Have you ever done number patterns?

Bye, everyone!
